Ivan Djordjevic is an associate professor of electrical and computer engineering and optical sciences; director of the Optical Communications Systems Laboratory (OCSL); and co-director of the Signal Processing and Coding Lab (SPACL). He is an IEEE Senior Member and a Lifetime Member of The Optical Society, or OSA.
Associate professor Djordjevic has authored or co-authored five books and more than 400 journal and conference publications. He presently serves as editor and associate editor of IEEE Communications Letters and the International Journal of Optics, respectively. He is an editorial board member of Frequenz: Journal of RF-Engineering and Telecommunications.
As of 2016, he holds 38 US patents.
Prior to joining the University of Arizona, Djordjevic held appointments at University of the West of England, University of Bristol, Tyco Telecommunications, National Technical University of Athens in Greece, and State Telecommunication Company in Yugoslavia.
