The Tissue Optics Laboratory at the University of Arizona occupies about 1000 square feet in the Bioresearch Keating Building, room 124 [Click here to view a map of campus]. Research in the Tissue Optics Lab is an interdisciplinary effort. Students from biomedical engineering, other engineering disciplines, life sciences and optical sciences currently work in the lab building new imaging devices, testing new applications, and performing signal and image analysis. The common goal of all the lab's research: to improve healthcare through the novel use of light.

Our research focuses on three technologies:
Optical Coherence Tomography
Fluorescence Spectroscopy
Laser coagulation of blood
