Ali Akoglu was born in Turkey. He earned his B.S. degree in Computer Engineering from Purdue University and Ph.D. degree in Computer Science from Arizona State University. His active research area is on reconfigurable computing specializing in application specific reconfigurable architecture design space. RA Position Available starting Fall 2009 Project Title: Development of multi-objective clustering techniques for FPGA CAD flow In FPGA CAD flow, routability driven algorithms have been introduced to improve feasibility of mapping designs onto the underlying architecture; timing and power driven algorithms have been introduced to meet design specifications. A number of techniques have been proposed to tackle routability, timing or power objectives independently during clustering stage. However, there is minimal work that targets multiple optimization goals. In this project our objective is to develop clustering techniques targeting concurrent optimizations. Required Suggested
