The Digital Image Analysis Laboratory (DIAL) in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Arizona , in Tucson , is a center for interdisciplinary research in digital image analysis and processing, with a focus on systems for processing multispectral earth remote sensing imagery taken from aircraft or satellites. Research at DIAL ranges from sensor simulation and scene modeling, to algorithms for evaluating image quality and extraction of cartographic information.
