Policy Concerning Re-grading the Examinations

Necessary Conditions

  1. Request must be submitted/placed in the mailbox two days after the return of graded examinations.
  2. All problems with the missed credit must be solved completely and correctly on a separate paper and submitted together with the original examination and written request for re-grading. This is to reinforce the learning process.
  3. The written request must specify the problem(s) to be re-graded with justification/explanation why the re-grading is sought.

If the above conditions are met (correct solutions to all problems, which were incompletely solved during the exam are enclosed) and the request is judged to be justified the exam will be re-graded. The re-grading may involve the requested problems or entire set of problems.

The re-grading process may result in an increase of the score, if all problems are solved correctly.

In an unfortunate case, where the new solutions obtained after the examination (when one has all books and notes available and 2 days to solve the problems) are incorrect (indicating inadequate study effort) the score may be decreased.
