Objective
The current trend in networking technology is towards digital switching networks that can be used to deliver a wide range of information services with high quality and speed. ISDN(Integrated Services Digital Network) is a technology that supports a variety of services like voice, data, images and fax simultaneously on existing telephone lines. This has led to many interesting applications like telecomputing, desktop video conferencing, WWW browing and video on demand. They are possible over the basic ISDN-to-user connection, called a Basic Rate Interface. Two B channels carry user information from a telephone, a computer or a fax, And a D channel carries call set-up information for the network.
Video conferencing allows groups of people and individuals in different places to hold interactive meetings. The participants can hear each other, and they share images, movies, files and applications. A video conferencing is a tool just like a telephone, but it can be expanded to the variety of areas; distance learing, telemedicine etc
In this project, we are going to integrate multimedia web server and video conferencing over ISDN. Any participant of video conferencing can access a web server.
