Short Bio

I am a faculty member at the Electrical and Computer Engineering Department at the University of Arizona. Before joining the University of Arizona, I was a Co-director of the Network Security Lab at the University of Washington. I completed my Ph.D. and M.S. degrees in Electrical Engineering at the University of Washington, while I obtained my undergraduate diploma in Electrical and Computer Engineering at the National Technical University of Athens, Greece. My current research interests are in the areas of networking, distributed systems, focusing on identification, modeling and mitigation of network security vulnerabilities in wireless networks and analysis of network performance

  • Prospective Graduate Students
  • I am looking for highly motivated graduate students with background on networking, communications, applied mathematics and statistics, or any other related discipline. Knowledge of network security and cryptography is definitely a bonus but not required.
  • Before you contact me:
    • Make sure to attach your CV, otherwise your email will not be read.
    • Pick any one of my recent publications and send me a summary of the problem addressed, the assumptions made, the solution proposed and any further problems left open. Otherwise your email will not be read.
  • For any questions related to the admissions process, information can be found here. Please do not e-mail me with any admission related issues. Direct any questions to GradAdvisor@ece.arizona.edu.
  • International students can find additional information here
  • Information on financial assistance resources available to University of Arizona Students can be found here.
