Control Station - SV Communications
Architecture
As discussed above, little realistic potential exists for improving the Control Station -SV
communications architecture at the SV end of the link. However, this architecture can
be improved by using open system technology in the form of DCE middleware to
perform protocol conversion for outgoing communications. Standard RPCs and/or APIs
should be used in this DCE middleware. This will allow the use of standard, COTs
hardware and software for other components at Control Station locations.
