Research

New techniques are being developed for use in the processing and analysis of digital signals and images for a variety of applications. Recent projects include automated tissue classification with confocal microendoscopic images, texture analysis of aeromagnetic anomaly images for geological classification, digital image watermarking, real-time digital flow cytometry, analysis of chromosome images for cytogenetic applications, vocal-tract modeling using fractional-delay filters, wavelet-based color image denoising, watermarking of VLSI layouts, color histogram modification for image enhancement, and segmentation of cranial magnetic resonance images.
