Educational Science Kits

The goal of this project is to enable middle-school and high-school students a hands-on experience of testing and using the concepts they learn in science and math classes. By creating a set of basic intuitive building blocks students can implement a variety of systems without having any programming or electronics knowledge. In addition to the design and implementation of intuitive devices and interfaces, this research will also have a strong education oriented focus, working with students to reinforce math and science skills, make classes more fun while still educational, and introduce students to engineering.

Use of Sensor Network by Non-experts

Sensor networks are an increasingly popular platform, with endless number of possible applications. However, this platform requires engineering and programming expertise to develop even the simplest of applications beyond the understanding and knowledge of the users these systems are targeted at. The goal of this project is to enable non-expert users the ability to setup and customize sensor network applications.
